ITC-Phnom Penh: On Wednesday, 9th October 2024, University of Liège in corporation with Faculty of Civil Engineering held a workshop on “Pathology of Reinforced Concrete Structures” for civil engineering students and lecturers at the Institute of Technology of Cambodia.
In this workshop, Prof. Luc COURARD from the University of Liège (Belgium) has provided knowledge on the identification of interactions between the environment and structures ranging from cracking of concrete to corrosion of steel. This basic principle allows the designers to focus on potential problems for reinforced concrete structures constructed in high-risk environments such as seas or muddy areas, preservation of old buildings or heritage buildings, etc.
